After receiving employment support, Emma has found part-time employment as cleaning operative with GEMS, Estuary Housing Association. Well done Emma!

Emma recently moved in with us after living with South Essex Homes. As a single mum she had difficulty getting by on benefits and was struggling with depression. After contacting our income team, Emma was referred to The Customer and Community Engagement Team.

Emma was keen to improve get back on her feet but initially lacked confidence. We worked together on her CV, completed job applications and conducted mock interviews to help her on her way into employment. Emma was successful in her first interview for a long time and successfully secured a job at Estuary Housing Association in September 2018.

“Now I am employed I can afford driving lessons and presents for my kids. The support I received from Cherish was phenomenal. I did not have the confidence in myself and had not been on an interview for over 10 years and believe she was the reason I got the job.” – Emma Cain
