Centre Place Sure Start Children's Centre aims to give children the best start in life.............

Centre Place Family Centre is a one-stop shop for children aged up to five years old and their parents and carers. We provide access to family healthcare, advice and guidance about bringing up children, family support, early education and childcare. We also have links to career and employment services to support parents who want to return to work.

You can get advice, guidance and practical support on many areas that may affect family life, such as benefits entitlement, finding a school, housing issues, domestic violence and drug and alcohol abuse.

Every family needs support at some point, whether it's breast feeding information, getting children into routines or dealing with tantrums. We offer practical and emotional support to all families, so call us or pop in to see how we can support you and your family.

We offer a range of different activities and sessions. Most sessions do not need to be booked, however, sessions can get busy, so arrive on time to avoid disappointment.

All of our activities are planned to the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum so that your child can experience early learning through play. Activities include Stay & Play, Baby Weigh & Stay, Construction Club and much more. We also offer lots of ideas for low or no cost activities at home.

We also welcome volunteers in the centres. If you have a few hours spare you can come and help out. Volunteers can help deliver sessions and assist with administration and reception duties. Volunteering can increase your employability skills and looks great on your CV.

So, whether you want advice and guidance, to meet other parents, or to just come along and have fun with your child, all you need to do is pop in and see us and complete a registration form – you can do this the first time you come to a session. We look forward to meeting you all soon.
